THIS FORM MAY LOOK A LITTLE LONG, BUT TO MAKE IT QUICK AND EASY TO FILL OUT, WE HAVE MADE ONLY A FEW ITEMS "REQUIRED". INFORMATION ABOUT THE OPTIONAL ITEMS WOULD BE VALUABLE TO US, BUT IF YOU ONLY HAVE TIME TO COMPLETE THE FEW REQUIRED ITEMS WE WOULD STILL BE VERY GRATEFUL FOR THAT.

Please use the form below to let us know about courses you have taught that drew on resources from or were in some way inspired by Project TIER. This information will help us learn about the ways people are using and building upon the work of Project TIER. You can also use this form to report on advising of student research for which course credit was awarded.

Please complete a separate Course Information Form for each course (or research project supervised) you wish to report.

If you have undertaken non-course activities that draw on Project TIER resources or principles (including supervision of not-for-credit student research), please use the form available at this link to tell us about that.

The questions on this form are written in the past tense, as if the course has been completed. If you are filling out this form for a course that is in progress or will be offered in the future, please base your answers on your expectations, and leave blank any questions that you cannot answer at the moment (or enter "NA" if the field is required).

If any of the questions are not relevant to your course, or if the information requested is not available, please explain, or simply leave the fields blank.

Project TIER's impact on the course
How much did Project TIER contribute to the ways and extent to which you incorporated principles of transparency and/or reproducibility into the course? Were the things you did related to transparency already part of the course before you learned about Project TIER? If so, did Project TIER give you new ideas or lead you to innovate or experiment with those aspects of the course? Or was teaching about transparency and reproducibility something you had previously done little or not at all, and that you would probably have done much less or not at all if not for the guidance and resources provided by Project TIER?
Evaluation
On the basis of your qualitative impressions, please comment on the value and effectiveness of the aspects of the course related to transparency and reproducibility. Did the students get the idea and learn useful principles and skills? If the results were less than satisfactory, to what extent was that the result of situation-specific or idiosyncratic issues that arose in this particular class, and to what extent was it the result of conceptual problems in the material or the activities and assignments by which it was presented?
Did you ask students to provide any kind of systematic feedback on the parts of the course related to transparency and reproducibility, such as a special course evaluation form that focused specifically on these aspects of the course, or several questions on the regular course evaluation dedicated to these aspects? If so, please summarize any important lessons you took from them.

Examples of student work
We are interested in seeing the work students produce for assignments related to transparency and reproducibility. If you believe that any papers, problem sets or other projects one or more students did for the class make good examples, please attach copies, along with a copy of the instructions for the assignment or exercise. (If the example or examples consist of many files, please put them in appropriately organized folders.) We may want to feature some of these assignments on the TIER website or other outlets, but we will not do so without obtaining permission from you and the student authors.
